The Pinto de Azevedo Family & The "Casal de Valle Pradinhos"

Casal de Vale Pradinhos is a 350 ha. farm, founded in 1913 and owned by the Pinto de Azevedo family.

Maria Antónia Pinto de Azevedo Mascarenhas is the current owner of Casal de Vale Pradinhos.

She has implemented her vision in the wines that have been vinified here since she took control of the property in 1994.

Her daughter, Maria, will be the 4th generation of women directly involved in the management of the property.

An Old World terroir and an enthusiastic winemaking team are the perfect combination for wine production.

The wines produced here are a combination of indigenous varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela and Malvasia Fina, and renowned international varieties, namely Cabernet Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer and Riesling.

An Old World terroir and an enthusiastic winemaking team are the perfect combination for the production of world-class Portuguese wines.

Integrated Farm Management (IFM) at Valle Pradinhos.

Integrated Farm Management is a method of agricultural production that, in the fight against pests and diseases of crops, aims to respect the balance of agrarian ecosystems, preferably through the natural limitation of pests and other appropriate means of combat.

In the integrated protection, it is foreseen to :

.Rationalize the use of phytopharmaceutical products, specifically approved;

.To respect the environment;

.Encourage the use of alternative methods to chemical control;

.The preservation of auxiliaries (natural enemies of pests and diseases to be controlled) is encouraged;

Preserve the health of consumers and farmers
