Séries, Real Companhia Velha's experimental line, retrieves native grape varieties, many unknown and many already extinct. It is a very special line that results in small wine projects (few bottles) aimed at enhancing and highlighting the knowledge of the Douro terroir, combined with the unique characteristics of these exotic varieties.

The Bastardo, known in France as Trousseau.

A very fine wine, which at first sight impresses with its garnet color, something unusual in the reds of the region.

A wine that excels in intensity and elegance, which in tasting reveals itself to be entirely noble and seductive, with fine tannins and immense freshness.

Malvasia Preta is one of the oldest grape varieties in the Douro, being present among the oldest vineyards in the region, although never produced in monocast.

Tinto Cão is synonymous with the Douro! One of the most appreciated varieties in the current viticulture of the region for its adaptability, resistance, and low productivity.

Cornifesto is one of the oldest Douro grape varieties, being present among the old vineyards of the region, but never produced in monocast.

An original and low yielding variety, with a medium and compact bouquet, small berries and a thick and very dark colored film; these characteristics, which offer us quality and above all a different profile.

The Cornifesto series is the first example of this unknown variety, which we believe has potential for future vinifications.

Pedro Silva Reis is part of the third generation of the Silva Reis family, owners of Real Companhia Velha. He was born in Porto and spent his childhood between the Port Wine Cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia and the vineyards in the Alto Douro.

He graduated in business management in London, but it was his passion for wine that led him to dedicate himself to the culture of the drink. Today he joins the Real Companhia Velha oenology team led by Jorge Moreira.
