The wine line "SERIES" of Real Companhia Velha represents the passion for innovation and experimentation, in the search for new and increasingly interesting wines, which will always be tests where different techniques or grape varieties are sought.Bastardo.
Bastardo known in France as Trousseau, is one of the most famous Douro casts, largely because its name invokes something undesirable and controversial.
For Real Companhia Velha, Bastardo represents once again our passion for discovery and innovation, through a fresh, elegant and very fruity wine. 
The year 2014 was characterized by not concentrated, but very beautiful and fresh wines, being a vintage of younger and easier wines.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. It follows a period in used French oak barrels for 24 months. A very fine wine, which impresses at first sight by its garnet color, something unusual in the reds of the region.
To the nose are highlighted fruity aromas, currant and forest fruits, revealing complexity and character.

Keep the bottles in a cool place and without light (16 °C).
Serve at 16ºC.
