Description
Cornifesto is one of the oldest varieties of the Douro, being present among the old vineyards of the region, but never produced in monocast.
An original and low productivity variety with a medium and compact bouquet, small berries and a thick film and a very dark color; these characteristics, which offer us quality and especially a different profile.
The Cornifesto séries is the first example of this unknown caste, which we believe has potential for future vinifications.
2018 was a year of great quality, revealing powerful, concentrated reds with immense complexity.
For Cornifesto, fermentation takes place in small stainless steel tanks with temperature control. It follows a 12-month period in used French oak barrels.
A very original wine that excels in a very strong and differentiating character. It presents vegetal nuances that combine with fine ripe fruit and spicy notes, offering complexity and great aromatic intensity.
